Marcos remains focused on work as satisfaction rating continues to rise
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. will remain focused on delivering services and addressing the needs of Filipinos regardless of the results of his public satisfaction ratings, Malacañang said Wednesday.
Tumaas ‘yan, bumaba ‘yan.
The latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey, conducted from June 20 to 29, showed that 38 percent of Filipino adults were satisfied with President Marcos’ performance in the second quarter of 2026, up from 33 percent in March.
The percentage of dissatisfied respondents declined to 45 percent from 49 percent, while the percentage of those who were undecided slightly decreased to 17 percent from 18 percent.
Castro, meanwhile, clarified that the administration does not disregard survey results, noting that members of the Cabinet use them to identify areas that require greater attention.
SWS also reported improvements in the President’s net satisfaction rating across all geographic areas. President Marcos recorded his highest net satisfaction rating in Balance Luzon at a “moderate” +11, followed by the Visayas at a “neutral” -3, Metro Manila at a “poor” -24, and Mindanao at a “bad” -35.
Compared with March 2026, the President’s net satisfaction rating also improved by seven points in rural areas, from a “neutral” -9 to a “neutral” -2, and by eight points in urban areas, from a “poor” -20 to a “poor” -12.
The survey was conducted through face-to-face interviews with 1,200 adults nationwide. It had a sampling error margin of ±3 percentage points for national percentages and ±6 percentage points each for Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Presidential News Desk
