Peso falls to new low of P62.90 against the dollar

The peso finished at a new all-time low of P62.90 against the US dollar on Thursday, surpassing the previous level of 62.86 on September 14. It closed at P62.75 on Wednesday.
This came following reports of three-year high inflation of 7.2 percent in September and a decline in gross international reserves also in September.
The peso opened at P62.65 and had a weighted average of P62.73 in the morning at the Bankers Association of the Philippines website.
Total volume rose to $1.449 billion from $1.2 billion.PHS
