Deaths from the combined effects of tropical cyclones ''Luis'', ''Maymay'' and enhanced southwest monsoon rose to 21, the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) reported on Wednesday.

The additional fatalities were recorded by the OCD at Atok and Baguio in Benguet province while another one is still missing in Batangas.

Losses to agriculture in the Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, and Western Visayas also rose to P347.37 million, affecting 12,161 farmers with 10,662 hectares of agricultural areas and volume of productions amounting to 9,491 metric tons.

Infrastructure damage reached P2,109,761,681 while affected houses climbed to 972, of which 904 were partially damaged and 68 others were destroyed.

The affected population is at 909,133 families or 3,148,255 persons out of which 22,893 families or 80,442 people were being served inside the 881 evacuation centers in the affected regions. Robina Asido/PHS
