President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Thursday proposed to Congress the temporary suspension of the implementation of the Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act (RPVARA) to prevent additional property-related costs on businesses, support investments, and ensure a gradual and reasonable transition to the new property valuation system.

Marcos made the proposal at a meeting with leaders of the Senate and the House of Representatives while convening the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC) at Malacañang Palace on Thursday afternoon, said Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro.

Marcos proceeded with his scheduled engagements, including the LEDAC meeting, despite the suspension of work in the government due to the inclement weather brought by Tropical Storm “Maymay.”

Presidential News Desk
