Cash remittances grew in April
Cash remittances continued to grow in April, reflecting the resilience of remittances from Overseas Filipinos amid prevailing global economic conditions.
The United States remained the dominant source of inflows, followed by Singapore and Saudi Arabia, indicating stable geographic concentration.
Seasonally-adjusted personal remittances, which include cash sent through banks and informal channels as well as remittances in kind, likewise increased. This highlights the sustained role of OFs in supporting household finances and consumption. Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas
