President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. will depart Wednesday for a five-day working visit to Singapore aimed at deepening the country’s ties with its Southeast Asian neighbor, expanding economic engagement, and advancing cooperation in sectors vital to the nation’s development.

Foreign Affairs Assistant Secretary Analyn Ratonel said Marcos will be visiting Singapore from October 7 to 11, at the invitation of Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong.

Marcos is chairing the 2026 ASEAN Summit under the theme “Navigating Our Future, Together.” The President will lead the 49th ASEAN Summit scheduled for November 16–18, 2026, in Manila.

During the President’s working visit, he will engage in discussions with Prime Minister Wong regarding the bilateral cooperation between the Philippines and Singapore, as well as regional developments.

Marcos is also expected to attend the 24th Forbes Global CEO Conference to engage with key Singaporean and global business leaders, giving him an opportunity to showcase the Philippines’s investment and economic priorities in key growth sectors.

Also part of the President’s itinerary will be a tour of the Singapore Nuclear Research and Safety Institute to learn about Singapore’s experience and expertise in nuclear technology and safety. Presidential News Desk
