Carlos Yulo won his second gold in gymnastics for the second day on Friday at the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya where he wrapped up his stint,

A day after ruling his specialty, the floor exercise, Yulo prevailed in the vault in what he described as a tight contest. It was a comeback for him as in the first day of competition, he landed badly on his behind.

The 26-year-old Yulo had an average score of 14.599 as he edged Mahdi Olfati of Iran who logged only 14.533 as his first vault of 15.10 was negated by his second try of 14.533.

Yulo failed to win a medal in his final event, the parallel bars, as he finished his campaign.

Yulo is one of the few gymnasts to win at least two golds in an Olympic Games. He achieved this in 2024 in Paris where he won two golds. PHS
