Romualdez pleads not guilty to plunder charges at Sandiganbayan
Former House Speaker Martin Romualdez pleaded not guilty to his P7.4 billion plunder case in his arraignment at the Sandiganbayan on Wednesday.
Romualdez, who was transferred from the Philippine General Hospital to the Payatas jail's infirmary on Monday evening, appeared via teleconference before the anti-graft court's third division.
But the court denied Romualdez's request to be transferred to a government hospital in Quezon City.
Romualdez's lawyers will file a petition for bail for his plunder raps. Romualdez, a cousin of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. was arrested on September 7. PHS
