Japanese defense attachés joined FAFA International Night 2026
Last Friday, Embassy of Japan Defense Attaché Col. Aizawa Naoki, Army Attaché Lt Col. Yamashita Hideki, and Naval Attaché Commander Wada Koji joined the festive event of the Foreign Armed Forces Attaché (FAFA) International Night 2026.
The event was attended by key military officials, including Philippine Army Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Christopher Tampus and Air Force Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Alvin Hate. It highlighted the strong camaraderie and friendship among the diplomatic and military community.
The event brought together defense attachés from 20 countries, who came dressed in their respective national attire and showcased their traditional cuisine.
The Embassy of Japan delighted guests with a selection of Japanese dishes, including sushi and tempura, as well as Japanese Sake. Attendees were also treated to a promotional video produced by the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) that reflects Japan’s rich culinary traditions and culture.
