Peso skids to new low for second day

The Philippine peso fell into a new low against the US dollar of P62.265 for the second straight day on Friday.
This came a day after the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas raised its policy rates by 25 basis points.
At the Bankers Association of the Philippines website, the peso fell to P62 in early trading after closing at P61.888 on Thursday.
The peso soared to a high of P62.27 before closing. Volume climbed to $1.96 billion from Thursday's $1.789 billion. PHS
