Low pressure area forces cancellation of two flights

Two domestic flights were cancelled due to the bad weather conditions brought by the effect of the low pressure area (LPA) at the east coast of Albay.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), Philippine Airline flights PR2018 and PR2019 from Manila to Cauayan and vice versa were cancelled as of 11 am.
A total of 287 passengers of the two flights were affected because of the cancellation.
The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) said the LPA is at Macalelon, Quezon.
However, many parts of the National Capital Region have been experiencing light to moderate. with occasional heavy rainfall on Thursday, creating heavy traffic.
Lorie dela Cruz, a weather specialist of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) told Newsfeed that the rains are expected until Thursday morning.
As of 5 pm, yellow rainfall warning is forecast over Bulacan, Pampanga, Bataan, Quezon(General Nakar), Rizal(Rodriguez), Metro Manila(Valenzuela, Malabon, Navotas), Nueva Ecija(General Tinio, Gabaldon, Gapan, Cabiao, San Isidro, Penaranda, Bongabon, Laur, Palayan, General Mamerto Natividad, Rizal, Cabanatuan, Santa Rosa, Jaen, San Antonio, Zaragoza, Licab, Aliaga, Quezon, Santo Domingo, Talavera, Llanera, San Leonardo), Tarlac(La Paz, Concepcion, Capas, Tarlac City, Victoria, San Jose, Bamban) and Zambales(San Marcelino, San Felipe, San Narciso, San Antonio, Castillejos, Subic, Olongapo).
Light to moderate with occasional heavy rains affecting Rizal(San Mateo, Tanay, Baras, Morong, Antipolo, Cainta, Taytay), Metro Manila(Quezon City, Marikina, Manila, San Juan, Pasig, Makati, Mandaluyong, Pateros, Caloocan), Tarlac(Mayantoc, Santa Ignacia, Gerona, Pura, Anao, Paniqui, Ramos, San Manuel, Camiling, Moncada, San Clemente), Nueva Ecija(Guimba, Munoz, Carranglan, Cuyapo, Lupao, Nampicuan, Pantabangan, San Jose, Talugtug), Zambales(Cabangan, Botolan, Iba, Palauig, Candelaria, Masinloc, Santa Cruz) and Quezon(Infanta, Real) which may persist within 3 hours and may affect nearby areas.
