''Domeng'' displaces thousands of families, says NDRRMC

Thousands of families were displaced due to Typhoon ''Domeng,'' which left the Philippine Area of Responsibilty on Monday.

The latest report from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) shows that 17,059 families or 85,295 persons were displaced in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

The report noted that 37 areas in BARMM were flooded.

The damage to infrastructure due to the typhoon also reached P3,400,000.

''Domeng'', with maximum sustained winds of 120 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 150 kph was last spotted at 710 km northeast of Itbayat, Batanes while moving northward at the speed of 20kph.
