Pasig court halts wage hike for 72 hours

A Pasig court has halted the implementation of the first tranche of the P85 minimum wage hike for 72 hours, news reports said Thursday.
In a July 24 decision, Pasig Regional Trial Court Executive Judge Achilles Bonauitan ordered that the current wage rate be maintained first. The standing minimum wage hike is P695.
The wage hike was to be implemented on July 25.
The petition was filed by two companies.
Acting Labor Secretary Francis Tolentino said the department will follow the court order. PHS
