Peso sinks to new record of low of P61.847 vs US dollar

The peso ended at a record low of P61.847 on Friday after it came under pressure for two days as world oil prices continued to rise as the situation between the US and Iran remained tense.
The peso, which finished at the old low of P61.75 against the dollar, slumped to P61.85 in early trading. Its weighted average was P61.832 in the morning. In the afternoon, the weighted average was P61.848.
Total volume reached $969.38 million from $1.532 billion on Thursday. PHS
